Home Care Assistant - Evenings and Weekends - New Enhanced Rate of Pay

We have new enhanced rates of pay from the 29th March 2021!

SCiA are currently supporting people in our community to ensure they stay safe and well during the current period of change. 

£10.50 per hour with enhancements for Qualified candidates and Bank Holidays

Pay rates

Weekday                                      - £10.50 per hour 

Weekend                                      - £11.16 per hour 

Bank Holidays                              - £13.14 per hour 

Enhanced rate of pay for those able to evidence a Level 2 Qualification in Health and Social Care or higher

Weekday                                      - £11.00 per hour 

Weekend                                      - £11.66 per hour 

Bank Holidays                              - £13.64 per hour

What does a Home Care Assistant do, I hear you ask!

We are proud to support so many amazing people.

A Home Care Assistant’s role can be wide and varied, and no two days are the same – but here’s an idea of what you could be doing:

• Promoting and encouraging independence, whilst assisting the people we support with their daily routines
• Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion, available to the people we support, both within our services and the community
• Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing, toileting etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity
• Participating in household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in
• Engaging in conversation and sometimes having a belly laugh together over something silly!

We are currently looking for Day workers but we can also consider Evening and Weekend workers.

How much will I be paid?

We know that carers do impactful and vital work, and we want to make sure that you feel appreciated. We are a National Living Wage employer and believe in investing in our staff.

Pay rates:

£8.95 per hour with enhancements for Nights and Bank Holidays

Weekday                                      - £9.75 per hour

Weekend                                      - £10.46 per hour

Bank Holidays                              - £12.64 per hour
