Social Care is valued more than ever. Join us and be the person that helps to make a difference to people’s lives during these times.

Are you a friendly, compassionate and dedicated person? If so, you would be perfect for our Complex Care Assistant role. You will become part of an amazing team of carers that ensures that our amazing customers receive the support they need.

When you join our team, you’ll make a real and positive impact to the lives of the people we support. The team at SCA Care believe that helping people live the life they want to lead is extremely important – everyone should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our exciting Complex Care Service has been launched to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs to build and maintain life skills, including domestic activities such as cooking and cleaning, as well as budgeting, shopping, seeking employment and/or further education as well as discover new social activities.

We’re all about person-centred care. We make sure that the customer’s home always remains personal to them, and that the care and support given is tailored to their unique and individual needs.

What are we looking for?

For us, personality and passion comes before education. Caring experience would be the cherry on the top, but as long as you have the right attitude and values, then we’d love you to apply! You’ll always be supported and looked after by your SCA Care colleagues and wider Social Care in Action family.

Investing in our family of staff is important to us – we provide full training and will work with you to build your career, not just do a job day in day out. Our ethos is - when you thrive, we thrive.

We are currently looking for Day workers but we can also consider Evening and Weekend workers.

What does a Complex Care Assistant do, I hear you ask!

We are proud to support so many amazing people.

A Complex Care Assistant’s role can be wide and varied, and no two days are the same – but here’s an idea of what you could be doing:

  • Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion, available to the people we support, both within our services and the community

  • Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing, toileting etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity

  • Participating in household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in

  • Working with the people we support to implement appropriate strategies for when behaviours that challenge may occur

  • Engaging in conversation and sometimes having a belly laugh together over something silly!

We understand that it’s not all about the pay! Have a look at some of the benefits that we offer when you join the SCA Care family.
